Overview

Smart Workforce & Inventory Surveillance System (SWISS) is an AI video analytics platform that turns CCTV streams into operational intelligence — covering unique footfall, entry/exit tracking, staff recognition, occupancy and multi-location monitoring.

Problem

Clinic and retail operations needed trustworthy, privacy-aware vision analytics that could measure footfall, occupancy and workforce presence without manual counting or delayed reporting.

Research and requirements

The system needed robust detection and tracking across varied camera angles, lighting conditions and multi-location deployments, with dashboards that operations teams could act on immediately.

Architecture

CCTV streams feed a vision pipeline using YOLO detection, DeepSORT tracking and OpenCV processing. Aggregated analytics are served through a backend API into real-time dashboards and PostgreSQL storage.
